CHICAGO – State Rep. Yehiel “Mark” Kalish, D-Chicago, joined Gov. J.B. Pritzker and various elected officials at a press conference to announce the governor’s signing of an infrastructure investment plan earlier this week.
“Illinois has gone over a decade without investing in our state’s infrastructure,” Kalish said. “Our bipartisan plan will create hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs while modernizing our state’s infrastructure. This proposal is a vital first step toward long-term economic growth.”
Kalish backed a vast, bipartisan Infrastructure Investment plan that Gov. Pritzker recently signed. Kalish’s plan invests $45 billion into new infrastructure projects and improvements and is expected to create up to 500,000 jobs statewide.
