SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – As the cost of utilities increases over the summer months, state Rep. Michelle Mussman, D-Schaumburg, is partnering with Citizens Utility Board (CUB) to host a clinic in Hanover Park to help residents save money on their utility bills.

“CUB is a tremendous organization that helps people save money by finding ways to lower the cost of their utilities,” Mussman said. “They will sit down with individuals and comb through bills in order to find unnecessary fees and other ways to help people pay less. Best of all, this clinic is going to be free to the public.”

CUB is a non-profit, non-partisan consumer protection organization whose mission is simply to represent the residential utility customers of Illinois. The CUB clinic will be held on Friday, August 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Greenbrook Tangelwood, located at 1211 Catalina Dr. in Hanover Park. RSVPs are preferred but not necessary.

“Many of us are paying too much for our utilities without realizing it, but CUB can help us all save extra money this summer,” Mussman said. “I encourage all residents to take advantage of this free clinic and find out how much CUB can help them and their pocketbooks.”
