Mason to Launch Youth Advisory Council

GURNEE, Ill. – State Rep. Joyce Mason, D-Gurnee, is launching her Youth Advisory Council at her district office at 36100 Brookside Drive Suite LL 60 in Gurnee this Wednesday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m.

“It’s important to me to represent the interests of our young people in Springfield,” said Mason. “This advisory council allows me to hear directly from them while providing an opportunity for them to learn more about civic engagement.” 

Rep. Mason’s Youth Advisory Council will meet quarterly to discuss issues and legislation relating to young people in Illinois. Members of the council must be enrolled in middle school or high school.
