CHICAGO – State Rep. Justin Slaughter, D-Chicago, is inviting local residents to join him for a morning of coffee and conversation this Friday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to noon at Lumes Pancake House, located at 11601 S. Western Ave. in Chicago.

“I love talking to my constituents to get feedback on how to best represent them down in Springfield,” Slaughter said. “Sitting down with my neighbors and sharing a warm cup of coffee is one of the best ways to learn what they are thinking and how I can better serve them.”

Slaughter is inviting residents to join him at Lumes Pancake House this Friday to enjoy a free cup of coffee and talk about state and local issues. Slaughter will also discuss recently passed legislation and goals for the upcoming year. The event is free and open to the public.

“Hosting small, intimate meetings like this allow me to talk one-on-one with constituents to discuss their most important issues and answer their questions directly,” Slaughter said. “By understanding their concerns, I can better address their needs in Springfield. I am looking forward to sharing a hot cup of joe with fellow residents!”
