MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. – Looking to help residents save money on their utility bills, state Rep. Mark Walker, D-Arlington Heights, will host a free Citizens Utility Board (CUB) Bill Clinic at the Mount Prospect Public Library, located at 10 S. Emerson St., on Monday March 18 from 6 to 7 p.m.

“I’m happy to welcome experts from CUB to assist local residents as they look for ways to save on essential utilities,” Walker said. “It’s easy for companies to add unnecessary fees that can drive up your bills without realizing it.”

At the clinic, CUB experts will show residents how to spot unnecessary charges on electric, natural gas and phone bills. They will also explain energy efficiency programs and rebates that can help lower bills, as well as what to watch for when shopping for energy, phone, television and internet services. Space is limited, and residents are encouraged to make a reservation with CUB at 312-263-4282 ext. 111, or by calling Walker’s district office at 847-749-1137.

“The Citizens Utility Board is an excellent organization fighting for the rights of the consumer,” Walker said. “I hope this scheduled clinic will help some residents save money.”
