SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Diane Pappas, D-Itasca, is hosting a citizens’ advisory committee to hear input on the best way to create a more affordable, accessible health care system that works for everybody. The event is on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Bloomingdale Library at 101 East Fairfield way in Bloomingdale.

“I’m committed to bringing affordable and accessible health care to everyone in our community,” Pappas said. “Citizens advisory committees are a great way for me to hear directly from the people who will benefit from improvements to Illinois’ medical system. Staying connected to the people I represent helps me be a strong advocate for their priorities, and health care for working and middle-class families is critical.”

Pappas’ citizens’ advisory committee will focus on clarifying the challenges people face with Illinois’ health care system. Dialogues like this are crucial for Pappas to set a practical policy agenda that helps people in their communities. This meeting is free and geared towards adults with ideas or experiences with our health care system they would like to share.
