CHICAGO – Throughout October, state Rep. Fran Hurley, D-Chicago, partnered with St. Cajetan’s Brownie Troop 25681 to collect supplies for the Ronald McDonald House to benefit families of children with cancer and other illnesses receiving care at Advocate Children’s Hospital.
“The Ronald McDonald House helps families take care of themselves while dealing with incredibly difficult situations by making sure they have access to hot meals, laundry facilities and a place to sleep, while also ensuring they are close by the hospital,” said Hurley “This charity helps families coping with childhood illnesses and cancer feel as at home as possible while their child is in the hospital. I want to thank the community for coming together and making our collection drive for the Ronald McDonald House at Advocate Children’s Hospital a success.”
Hurley and St. Cajetan’s Brownie Troop 25681 collected donations of nonperishable goods and household cleaning items to help the Ronald McDonald House continue helping families coping with childhood cancer and other illnesses.
