Edly-Allen Hosts Property Tax Seminar, Helps Residents Learn How to Reduce Tax Bills

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. – To help residents learn how to reduce their property tax bills, state Rep. Mary Edly-Allen. D-Libertyville, and Ela Township Assessor John Barrington recently hosted an informational meeting about the tax assessment process.

“When I knock on doors and talk with homeowners they tell me how high property taxes put a strain on  their families,” said Edly-Allen. “While I am working in Springfield to reduce the property tax burden, it is important that I connect residents with local resources that can help reduce their tax burden.”

In addition to connecting homeowners with resources in the community Edly-Allen is fighting for property tax relief in Springfield as a member of the state’s Property Tax Relief Task Force.
