LOMBARD, Ill. – State Rep. Terra Costa Howard, D-Glen Ellyn, is inviting her constituents to share their ideas – and some free ice cream – at ‘Cones with Costa Howard,’ from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15 at the local Dairy Queen, at 205 S. Main St. in Lombard.
“It’s so important for constituents and representatives to get together and share ideas about the future of Illinois,” said Costa Howard. “On these hot summer days, I think everything goes better with a little ice cream. So I’m pleased to invite my constituents to join me for a free ice cream cone and a conversation about the issues that matter most to them and their families.”
The Lombard Dairy Queen has been a favorite local gathering spot since it first opened its doors in 1953. Today, the family-owned and -operated shop prides itself on its famous vanilla recipe, which has been passed down unchanged for decades.
“The Lombard Dairy Queen is a traditional favorite for families throughout the 48th District,” Costa Howard said. “I’m sure my constituents will enjoy ‘Cones with Costa Howard,’ and I expect to hear many good ideas about new laws and initiatives that will put Illinois on the right track.”
