BARTLETT, Ill. – To meet with local residents and discuss important issues facing Illinois, state Rep. Karina Villa, D-West Chicago, recently hosted Koffee with Karina at the Bartlett Park District building.
“Being as accessible as possible to the people I represent is very important to me, so I can be a strong voice for our communities in Springfield,” said Villa. “I spend time knocking on doors in local neighborhoods and hosting events like my coffee shop stops because I enjoy having discussions with residents about how we can work together to improve our community and move our state forward.”
To stay connected with the community and hear the ideas and perspectives of local residents on issues facing the state, Villa has continuously hosted coffee shop stops, and regularly convenes advisory committees on a wide range of subjects including mental health, business and the environment.
