BLOOMINGDALE, Ill. – State Rep. Diane Pappas, D-Itasca, is hosting her Healthcare Advisory Committee on Wednesday, July 31 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bloomingdale Public Library, located at 101 Fairfield Way in Bloomingdale.

“In my conversations with constituents throughout the district, healthcare is one of the most frequent issues brought up,” said Pappas. “There is a strong need for an informative discussion centered around our healthcare system at the state level, and I am happy to be providing the first step.”

Pappas’ Healthcare Advisory Committee meeting takes place every other month to encourage civic engagement among constituents within the district and keep a direct line of communication with Pappas open. Pappas wants to generate discussion among residents and healthcare professionals that can be turned into legislative solutions.

“Increasing access to healthcare is essential to the well-being of residents throughout the entire state,” said Pappas. “While extreme politicians in Washington threaten to cut access to essential healthcare services, I’m committed to fighting for healthcare access to build a stronger Illinois.”
