Hernandez Visits Local Seniors to Answer Questions, Hear Feedback

AURORA, Ill. – State Rep. Barbara Hernandez, D-Aurora, recently met with local residents of Downer Place of LSSI in Aurora to talk about recently passed legislation, answer questions hear feedback and address concerns.  Residents shared their thoughts regarding important issues like healthcare and housing. They also discussed important community concerns such as public safety, mental health initiatives and education.   

“I truly appreciate the feedback I receive from all of my constituents,” said Hernandez.  “I have talked with dozens of seniors in my district, and they frequently share the same concerns. I am eager to work to ensure they have access to affordable health care, housing and transportation. I encourage all seniors in my district to consider joining me on my Senior Citizen’s Advisory Committee, so we can all work together to find solutions to the problems this generation faces throughout the state.”
