CHICAGO – State Rep. Lindsey LaPointe, D-Chicago, will help local residents receive critical state resources and discuss issues that matter most to local residents at her new constituent services office located at 6315 N Milwaukee Ave, 1st Fl, Chicago.
“Making our voices heard starts with listening to people across the communities of the 19th district about the issues that matter most to them,” said LaPointe. “I am here to fight for the things our community believes in, like protecting workers’ wages and benefits, ensuring our children have a world-class education, supporting our teachers, making health care more affordable and making taxes fairer for the middle class. My new constituent services office is a place where residents can come to make their voices heard, so I can carry our message to go to Springfield.”
LaPointe’s new office is located on 6315 N Milwaukee Ave, 1st Fl. Constituents can call LaPointe at (773) 647-1174 or email her at RepLaPointe@gmail.com. The office offers services from helping constituents contact state agencies and access services. In month one, LaPointe and her staff assisted a constituent to access his overdue lottery winnings. Additionally, LaPointe plans to offer monthly seminars on income taxes, property taxes and other issues. Planning for an environmental town hall is underway.
“There is so much at stake for our families and neighborhoods, which is why I strongly urge residents to contact me for any issue or concern they have,” LaPointe said. “I look forward to meeting residents and hearing directly from them at the office and out in the community, so I can help build a stronger Illinois and middle class.”
LaPointe represents the 19th District, which covers portions of Chicago’s Big Oaks, Dunning, Gladstone Park, Jefferson Park, Portage Park, Union Ridge and West Portage Park neighborhoods, and River Grove, Elmwood Park, Norridge and Harwood Heights.
