BLOOMINGDALE, Ill. – State Rep. Diane Pappas, D-Itasca, attended the Illinois Manufacturing Association (IMA) presentation of the Employer Training Investment Program (ETIP) grant on behalf of the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to the C. Cretors & Company located in Wood Dale, Friday.

“Illinois manufacturers employ 592,000 women and men on factory floors today in jobs that pay an average of $88,000. However, manufacturers face a major challenge in finding skilled workers for today’s modern factories,” said Donovan Griffith, Director of Government Affairs for the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association. “The IMA applauds Rep. Pappas for her support of the important ETIP job training program that is helping attract, retain, and train the next generation manufacturing workforce.”

“I appreciated the opportunity to join a local manufacturer who utilized a program that supports good-paying jobs for families in our community,” said Pappas. “As a state, we need to be investing in programs that grow our economy, and I am committed to working with local and state organizations to build a stronger Illinois.”
