Stuart to Host “Cones with Katie” at Annie’s in Edwardsville

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – State Rep. Katie Stuart, D-Edwardsville, will be hosting a “Cones with Katie” event to beat the summer heat and talk with constituents on Thursday, June 6 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Annie’s Frozen Custard, located at 245 S. Buchanan St. in Edwardsville.

“One of the many great things about the 112th District is that there is no shortage of great ice cream places to visit over the summer,” said Stuart. “By hosting a ‘Cones with Katie’ at Annie’s, I am able to sit down with constituents to discuss the issues most important to them while also supporting one of my favorite local ice cream shops.”

Stuart hosts Coffee or Cones with Katie events at coffee shops and restaurants, giving local residents an opportunity to meet with their representative in a more relaxed, informal setting. Residents are encouraged to attend to share their thoughts on state issues or get to know Stuart better.

“I want to have conversations with constituents about their concerns so I can continue to represent the 112th District to the best of my ability,” continued Stuart, “I encourage everyone to come out to Annie’s and bring their questions, comments and concerns about state and local issues.”
