CHICAGO – Back by popular demand, state Rep. Fran Hurley, D-Chicago, will be hosting Senior Tech Tuesdays on the second Tuesday of each month. Hurley is inviting local seniors to schedule an appointment to stop by her office and ask any questions they may have about their electronic devices, including laptops, smartphones or tablets.
“We are constantly bombarded with new technology, and it can be very confusing to learn how to use new devices,” said Hurley. “For a variety of reasons, many seniors may only have the opportunity to interact with their family or friends electronically, and my Senior Tech Tuesday is a great chance for seniors to ensure that they understand how to use their technology and stay connected to their loved ones.”
Hurley is hosting Senior Tech Tuesdays at her district office, located at 10400 S. Western Ave. in Chicago. Local seniors are encouraged to stop by between 10 a.m. and noon on Tuesday, April 9, and the second Tuesday of each month, for assistance setting up or using electronic devices, like laptops, smartphones or tablets. To book an appointment, call or email Rep. Hurley’s office.
“Technology is constantly changing and updating, and it can be hard to keep up with,” said Hurley. “I encourage local seniors that have questions about their devices to schedule an appointment to stop by and join us at my Senior Tech Tuesday event.”
