BLOOMINGDALE, Ill. – State Rep. Diane Pappas, D-Itasca, recently hosted her office open house and invited her constituents to discuss issues facing the 45th District.

“I was extremely glad to meet my wonderful constituents this past weekend,” said Pappas. “The people of the 45th District value straightforward leadership, and that’s what I intend to bring to my position with discussions like this.”

Pappas is committed to being transparent with her constituents. This office open house was one of her first events to establish good government practices. Residents were greatly affected by Former-Governor Rauner’s extended budget shutdown. Pappas will protect the services that middle-class families throughout her district rely upon by having an open line of communication with community residents.

“We cannot continue the old tactics of disengaged governance and putting aside tomorrow’s problems,” said Pappas. “Government is most effective when officials are open with their citizens, and I’m grateful to have such engaged and supportive constituents to work with.”
