BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. – State Rep. Daniel Didech, D-Buffalo Grove, is inviting residents to enjoy a cup of coffee while discussing state and local issues at his inaugural “Donuts with Dan” event on Saturday, March 2 at 10 a.m. at the Garden Berry Café, located at 906 US-45 in Vernon Hills.
“Being out in the community and speaking to people where they live is the most important part of being a representative,” Didech said. “In addition to walking door-to-door and making phone calls to connect with local families, I am encouraging residents to come and meet face-to-face over a cup of coffee to talk about what’s important to them.”
In addition to Didech, the event will feature special guest Sonali Patil, President of the Hawthorn District 73 School Board. Didech hopes that the event will help to make state and government more effective for local families and ensure their views are represented in the legislative process. The event is free, open the public, and will feature complimentary coffee and pastries.
“Sonali and I are looking forward to talking with the community about what we can do to create positive change in our neighborhoods,” Didech said. “I encourage anyone who wants to ask a question, share their thoughts, or learn more about what is happening in state and local government to stop by.”
