Hurley to Host Women’s Heart Health Discussion

ORLAND PARK, Ill. – To educate women about the importance of their heart health, state Rep. Fran Hurley, D-Chicago, is welcoming WomenHeart Champion Irene Wasserman to share her story with heart disease and vital health information at a special event on Monday, Feb. 25 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Orland Park Public Library. 

“Nearly 48 million women nationwide are living with or at risk of heart disease,” said Hurley. “Because the conditions that lead to heart disease are occurring in younger women, it’s important that all women learn about the warning signs and the serious consequences of not caring for their cardiovascular health.”  

In partnership with WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease, Hurley will welcome Wasserman for a discussion on empowering women to take charge of their heart health on Monday, Feb. 25 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Orland Park Public Library, located at 14921 S.
