BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. – State Rep. Jonathan Carroll, D-Buffalo Grove, is encouraging high school and college students interested in learning more about government and public service to apply to his public-service internship program.
“Young people want to fix our most pressing issues now more than ever,” Carroll said. “My constituent service office is a great opportunity for anyone with the desire to learn about government and who wants to make a difference at a local level.”
Carroll interns during years past have tailored their intern experience to their interests, skills, and schedule. Areas of interest have included communications, policy research, community outreach, and event planning. The internship is unpaid, and no prior experience is necessary.
“We are looking for applicants hungry for first-hand government experience that you can’t learn in school,” Carroll continued. “I look forward to meeting our applicants.”
To apply, please email a resume to MA@repcarroll.com. For questions or concerns, please contact Rep. Carroll’s constituent service office at 847-229-5499.
