Yingling Announces June Coffee Event

ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is kicking off his summer outreach program by announcing his “Iced Coffee and Conversation” constituent meet-up event on Saturday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Somethings Brewing located at 1126 E. Washington St. in downtown Grayslake.

“I like to host coffee town hall events because they provide great opportunities to get more face time with my community, support local businesses, and really connect with the people I serve in a comfortable, relaxed setting,” Yingling said “My coffee gatherings provide the people I represent with a chance to express their concerns and involved with state policy matters. Offering weekend constituent events is important for people who have work or family obligations that prevent them from attending weeknight events in the community.”

Attendees will receive a complimentary cup of iced coffee and have a chance to speak with Yingling about state and local issues. Yingling regularly hosts “Coffee with Sam” events at local coffee shops, restaurants and diners to give local residents an opportunity to meet with him in a casual, informal setting. “When the legislature adjourns for the summer, I’ll be in my district hosting community events and going door-to-door to hear firsthand what my constituents are concerned about,” Yingling said. “I look forward to hosting events like this throughout the weeks ahead and encourage residents to join me.”
