CHICAGO – State Rep. Rick Ryan, D-Evergreen Park, is hosting a job and resource fair on Thursday, January 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Worth Township Hall Gymnasium.

“This is something I wanted to do to support my community by bringing the resources and jobs to people,” Ryan said. “I know that finding resources and finding jobs can be difficult and overwhelming, so hosting this and creating an environment that gives people the confidence to seek resources and jobs was important for me.”

“People deserve to have an opportunity to showcase their talents and skills. Unfortunately, for many in our community, the path to employment can be hindered by a lack of resources, including access to job search tools, professional networking opportunities, or even transportation to interviews,” said Ryan. “This job fair is more than just an event; it’s a vital service, giving everyone, regardless of their background or current circumstances, an equitable opportunity to connect directly with potential employers.”

The job fair will feature diverse industries, including healthcare, construction, IT  and retail administration, transportation, warehousing and logistics, and social services and career resources. Ryan noted that “Having diverse industries here will give everyone a chance to place their skills, interests, and talents.”

The job fair is scheduled for January 29, 2026, from 10 am to 1 pm, at the Worth Township Hall Gymnasium.

This event is also sponsored by State Rep. Michael Crawford, State Rep. Mary Gill, State Sen. Bill Cunningham, Worth Township Supervisor Patricia Joan Murphy, and the YWCA.
