PEORIA, Ill. – State Rep. Jehan Gordon-Booth, D-Peoria, will welcome and celebrate local veterans at her annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast this Saturday, Dec. 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Laborers’ Local 165 Hall, located at 4509 N. Catalina Dr. in Peoria.
“This is an opportunity for our community to show gratitude and give thanks to our local veterans who answered the call to serve our nation,” Gordon-Booth said. “If you are a veteran, thank you for your sacrifice. We can never adequately repay you for what you’ve done, but I hope you can join us Saturday and see the impact and appreciation we have for you and your fellow servicemembers.”
Attending veterans and their families will receive a free, all you can eat pancake breakfast served by local celebrities and volunteers from Peoria Firefighters Local 50. Those wishing to join are encouraged to RSVP at RepJGordon@gmail.com or 309-681-1992.
