ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – State Rep. Gregg Johnson, D-Rock Island, is holding five hour-long info sessions with local partners in the district regarding what state, county and local options may be available to people impacted by federal cuts. These sessions are open to the public and media and designed to inform constituents of programs and resources available.
“The Trump Administration has put programs that provide vital assistance to millions of people in its crosshairs to fund tax cuts for his billionaire donors and big corporations,” Johnson said. “SNAP benefits, social security, Medicare and Medicaid; these plans save lives and the consequences of losing them can be enormous. I’m having these listening sessions because I want to hear from this community and learn more about what I can do to relieve some of the burden.”
