EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – With cold weather approaching, state Rep. Kate Stuart, D-Edwardsville, is partnering with Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees (SOAR) to collect coats, scarves, gloves and socks for families in need. Her office will accept donations Nov. 1-30 in various locations throughout the community.

“Winter is coming, and we need to make sure that everyone in the community has the proper support to stay comfortable and warm during the cold weather,” Stuart said. “Participating in a coat drive is a great way to get involved and make a difference for people here at home. I appreciate the generosity of local residents who can help us this year.”

Locations will be available across her district to drop off donations, including:
