BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – State Rep. Sharon Chung, D-Bloomington, is highlighting how community members can seek assistance when applying for financial aid to better afford and access higher education with resources from the Illinois Student Assistance
Commission (ISAC). ISAC is holding their annual College Changes Everything Campaign (CCEC), which runs from Labor Day through Thanksgiving.

“The Illinois Student Assistance Commission does incredible work to ease the transition to higher education for young people, first generation families, and anyone who could use a little help. College and university should not be out of reach because of finances,” said Chung. “ISAC is working to make higher education and applications more accessible across Illinois.”

The CCEC schedule includes several in-person workshops throughout the state to assist education seekers and their families with researching and applying for admission and financial aid. ISAC hosts programming throughout the year, and their resources are always available online. They have information on scholarships, federal student loans, grant opportunities and more.

“From applications to scholarships to tuition, the college and university processes can be daunting,” Chung said. “If you are interested in getting a degree or certificate, but are not sure how to apply or what financial aid you might qualify for, the College Changes Everything Campaign will guide you through every step of the way.”
