CHICAGO – State Representative Mike Crawford, D-Chicago, celebrated the hard work and top 5 placement of Auburn Gresham’s very own Leo High School Choir on the most recent season of  ‘America’s Got Talent’ and hopes to welcome the team to Springfield during the Fall Veto Session and honor them on the House Floor.

Under the leadership of Leo alum and Principal Dr. Shaka Rawls and longtime Music Director LaDonna Hill, these students represented the very best of Chicago’s South Side with discipline, heart, and extraordinary talent. It is an honor to be their State Representative, and I look forward to welcoming them to Springfield to be recognized with a resolution on the House floor.”

The Leo High School Choir completed their final round of competitions on Tuesday, Sept. 23 in Los Angeles, their top 4 placement announced late Wednesday night.

Crawford will work with the team of students and their Music Director LaDonna Hill to commemorate their performance during the upcoming Fall Veto Session with a resolution on the House Floor.
