BELLEVILLE, Ill. – State Rep. Jay Hoffman, D-Swansea, visited Community Interfaith Food Pantry Thursday to drop off diapers, wipes, baby food and other items generously donated by local residents as part of his Mother’s Day Donation Drive.
“It’s wonderful to see how many in our community stepped up to support this drive, I can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity and willingness to help,” Hoffman said. “Community Interfaith Food Pantry does great work, and I’m excited to deliver more than 240 lbs. of items. These donations are going to help new mothers who could use a hand, and I’m grateful for everyone who participated.”
Items Hoffman dropped off included diapers, wipes, baby food, snacks, bottles, sippy cups, hygiene products, baby clothes, bibs and more. The Mother’s Day Donation Drive ran throughout May, and included drop off locations at Belleville City Hall and the Downtown Belleville YMCA.
