SPRINGFIELD — State Rep. Kimberly DuBuclet, D-Chicago, will put a spotlight on ways the Illinois film and entertainment industry can continue to be a force following a great year for film production in Illinois in 2024 at a hearing for the Museum, Arts, Culture, and Entertainment Committee on Friday, May 2 at 12:00 p.m. The committee will be held in room C-600 of the Michael Bilandic Building in Chicago and live streamed on ilga.gov.
“A film and entertainment industry that thrives will help our state thrive,” DuBuclet said. “The film industry will continue to benefit Illinoisans by creating jobs, attracting tourists, restoring community and small businesses, improving the economy, and overall strengthening the state’s visibility and culture. That’s why we will continue to have important discussions to look for innovative ways we can support our filmmakers and entertainers here in Illinois.”
