ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. — State Rep. Mary Beth Canty, D-Arlington Heights, is holding viewing days for the community to look at work local elementary students did for her 2025 spring art contest on April 25 and April 27.
“I was really happy to see all the wonderful submissions we got from local students this year,” Canty said. “Kids were showing off their artistic talents and I encourage the community to come out and see how they expressed the theme of ‘embracing our differences’ in myriad beautiful ways.”
Art submissions will be displayed at The Empty Corner at 214 E. Grove St. in Arlington Heights on April 25 from 1 to 6 p.m. and on April 27 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Local judges will select the winning artwork for awards provided by the Arlington Heights Park District and Blick Art Materials. Additionally, a People's Choice Award will be determined by votes from the community. Winning pieces will be displayed in Canty’s Springfield and Arlington Heights offices.
