Crawford Discusses Legislative Priorities, Commitment to Local Families in District Town Hall

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Mike Crawford, D-Chicago, will join State Sen. Willie Preston at his town hall to discuss his legislative priorities and how he’s fighting for his community in Springfield on Sat., Mar. 29 from 10 a.m. to noon at Greater Grand Crossing Park Fieldhouse at 7655 S. Ingleside Ave. in Chicago.

“As some Washington politicians walk out on constituents at their town halls, we’re meeting families where they’re at and being responsive to the worries families feel,” Crawford said. ” I want to take this opportunity to not only discuss what I’m working on in Springfield but also show that we’re not backing down from the challenges we face. Rising costs, shrinking opportunities and out of control healthcare costs won’t be addressed if the people in our communities aren’t at the forefront of our conversations.”

Crawford will meet with local families at dual town halls over the weekend to discuss his legislative priorities, progress on his first pieces of legislation and how Springfield is fighting for them at state Sen. Preston's town hall on Sat., Mar. 29 from 10 a.m. to noon at Greater Grand Crossing Park Fieldhouse at 7655 S. Ingleside Ave. in Chicago.
