SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Rick Ryan, D-Evergreen Park, responded to the budget address on Wednesday by prioritizing cutting costs for working families:
“Our community sent me to Springfield to fight to lower financial burdens on families in our neighborhood, and it is encouraging that the proposal I heard today matches our priorities. I came to Springfield to continue to make our neighborhood a great place to live, and our neighborhood can’t thrive if prescription drug expenses and grocery prices are skyrocketing. Kitchen table issues like making everyday goods less costly is the bedrock of a stronger economy and a better future.
“We can’t count on Washington politicians to prioritize our needs over their games—but Illinois can continue to uplift the people who need us most. I’m confident I can work with my colleagues to keep our community strong.”
