Deuter Reacts to Governor’s Budget Address, Urges Balanced Approach

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Marti Deuter, D-Elmhurst, issued the following statement Wednesday after the governor’s annual budget address:

“This year’s budget process will require careful collaboration and consensus building. There’s no question our state faces significant challenges, which is why now more than ever we need to focus on creating a responsible, balanced spending plan that prioritizes the real issues facing working families across our community.

“I look forward to reviewing the governor’s proposal in detail, and will continue to engage local stakeholders on ways we can properly support our schools, public safety and essential services families depend on.”
