Rashid Discusses A.I. Task Force Report, Outlines Next Steps

SPRINGFIELD, Ill — State Rep. Abdelnasser Rashid, D-Bridgeview, is hosting a press conference on Wednesday, Jan. 29 in the Illinois State Capitol’s Blue Room to unveil the findings of the state’s Generative A.I. and Natural Language Processing Task Force’s report.

“Artificial intelligence is rapidly evolving, and we need to make sure that our laws and regulations stay up-to-date to keep people safe from potential abuses of this emerging technology. We also need to be open to potential applications to and utilization to increase government efficiency and other metrics,” said Rashid. “I’m excited to release our task force’s findings, and begin a conversation on the future of A.I. in Illinois.”
