ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – Heading into her first spring legislative session, state Rep. Nicolle Grasse, D-Arlington Heights, will prioritize cutting costs for working families, expanding access to affordable care, and leading efforts on making essential services more accessible to keep neighborhoods strong and stable.
“My goal in this new position is to positively change the lives of everyday families trying to make ends meet. We shouldn’t have to choose between paying for groceries and obtaining the healthcare we need,” said Grasse. “From protecting women’s rights and capping expensive care to ensuring that mental healthcare is treated as a priority, my focus is on building a system that works for everyone, not just some of us.”
Grasse aims to reflect her community’s top needs by working collaboratively across both aisles to secure essential funding and solutions for her Northwest suburb neighborhoods, including affordable and accessible healthcare, fully funded public schools, and practical solutions to combat the climate crisis.
“I want to leave our younger generations a better future, and children should feel safe growing up here in Illinois. That’s why I’m prioritizing public safety, investing in our public schools, and pushing for common sense gun reform — so we can keep families together, not tear them apart. These are the priorities that will define our success this legislative session, and I’m eager to be a part of conversations that will shape our state’s future for the better.”
