PEORIA, Ill. – State Rep. Jehan Gordon-Booth, D-Peoria, is partnering with Landmark Recreation Center for a Community Shred Day on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 3225 Dries Lane in Peoria.
“With identity thieves getting better at finding and exploiting personal information, it’s important that I am a resource to those who want to safely and securely dispose of bank statements, tax forms and returns and other documents,” Gordon Booth said. “Saturday’s shred event is a perfect opportunity to keep your information safe and do it in an environmentally responsible way, so I hope my community comes out and takes advantage of this opportunity.”
On Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Gordon Booth will be helping her community to safely shred their sensitive documents in the north parking lot of the Landmark Recreation Center.
To make sure everyone can shred their documents, attendees should remove all staples, paperclips and other bindings before bringing them to the event. Furthermore, attendees should limit the number of boxes with documents to no more than 10. Electronics recycling for computer disks and hard drives will also be available.
For more information, please contact Rep. Gordon-Booth’s constituent office at 309-681-1992 or RepJGordon@gmail.com.
