AURORA, Ill. – State Rep. Barbara Hernandez, D-Aurora, is holding an event to help promote understanding of Illinois’ licensing process, financial literacy and availability of government resources with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) on Monday, Sept. 30, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 101 S. River, the Santori Library in room 125 in Aurora.

“I’m happy to offer the opportunity to everyone in our community to get assistance dealing with earning and maintaining their professional licenses, as well as overcoming financial problems,”
Hernandez said. “Illinois has a lot of resources that citizens can use to maintain steady licensure necessary for their jobs, and as a lawmaker, connecting people with those resources is a duty I take very seriously.”

Hernandez can be reached at 630-270-1848. The IDFPR handles professional licensing in Illinois for a wide range of professions. This is another move in a long line of cost cutting and financial assistance steps she has taken during her time as a representative.
