LYONS, Ill. – State Rep. Elizabeth ‘Lisa’ Hernandez, D-Cicero, is partnering with Lyons Public Library to host a Shred Day on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to noon at 4209 Joliet Ave.

“Identity theft can happen to anyone, so it’s important that personal information in bank statements, tax returns and other documents are not available to the general public,” Hernandez said. “Saturday’s event is a great opportunity to do just that. I hope the community comes out to take advantage of this opportunity and see their information being safeguarded in real time.”

On Saturday, Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. until noon, Hernandez will join Lyons Public Library to safely shred documents and help protect people from identity theft. To make sure everyone’s documents can be shredded, attendees should remove all bindings and clips before arrival.

For more information, please contact Lisa’s constituent service office at 6117 W. Cermak or 708-222-5240.
