Rep. Lilly Responds to CTA Blue Line Train Shooting

OAK PARK, Ill. – Following Monday’s CTA Blue Line shooting that left four people dead, state Rep. Camille Y. Lilly, D-Chicago, released the following statement:

“My heart and support go out to the families of the individuals lost to gun violence and to those who have to live with the trauma of this terrifying event early Monday morning. It is disheartening that these four individuals were murdered while sleeping on the train. Their loss is a reminder of the dangers faced every day by those without access to stable housing. We must do better in addressing this issue. These events are also a reminder that we must never stop fighting to get guns off our streets and out of the hands of anyone seeking to harm others. I am confident that justice will be given to those killed in this senseless tragedy.”
