ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – State Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, in partnership with state Rep. Dagmara “Dee” Avelar, D-Bolingbrook, will host a free community drive-thru shred event on Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Bolingbrook Park District’s Annerino Center, located at 201 Recreation Drive.
“It’s critical to educate our residents on the importance of securely disposing of sensitive documents. By raising awareness about the risks of identity theft and providing a safe way to shred confidential papers, I hope to see members of our community utilizing this free service to protect themselves from potential fraud and financial harm,” said Manley. “Our community should feel confident that their personal information is being handled responsibly and securely. I’m proud to partner with Rep. Avelar to raise awareness about the importance of safeguarding personal information and the risks associated with improper document disposal.”
Participants are allowed to shred up to two boxes per car and are prohibited from electronic or medical recycling. Cardboard boxes cannot be left at the event. Please contact Rep. Manley’s district office at 815-725-2741 for more information.
