BOLINGBROOK, Ill. — State Rep. Dagmara “Dee” Avelar, D-Bolingbrook, will team up with state Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, to host a free community drive-thru shred event on Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Bolingbrook Park District’s Annerino Center, located at 201 Recreation Drive.
“Not everyone can access a personal shredder or a secure disposal method for sensitive documents. This free community shredding event offers an accessible solution for those in our community needing to dispose of confidential paperwork,” said Avelar. “Shredding personal documents containing sensitive information such as financial records, social security numbers, and personal details protects our residents against the dangers of identity theft in a secure and convenient way. I’m thankful for Rep. Manley’s partnership so we can bring this essential service to our community.”
Participants can shred up to two boxes per car and are prohibited from electronic or medical recycling. Cardboard boxes cannot be left at the event. Please contact info@repdagamara.org for more information.
