Rep. Barbara Hernandez to Hold Medicaid/SNAP Workshop

AURORA, Ill. – State Rep. Barbara Hernandez, D-Aurora, is holding a workshop to provide community members with assistance with Medicaid and SNAP services on Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Sacred Heart Church-Simard Hall, on 769 Fulton Street in Aurora.

“Medicaid and SNAP services are often vital, but the bureaucracy and red tape surrounding them can be a challenge to navigate,” Hernandez said. “This workshop will offer a hand to people who need help applying for or renewing their SNAP or Medicaid benefits. I encourage anyone who is having trouble, or who thinks they might qualify, to join us.”

Attendees should bring proof of monthly income, official identification, proof of address, social security card and birth certificate of any children included in an application. Please call 630-256-7013 or 630-256-7010 with any questions.
