Olickal Spotlights Increased Reproductive Health Care Access in Illinois

SKOKIE, Ill. — State Rep. Kevin Olickal, D-Skokie, issued the following statement in response to recent news that Walgreens will be adding Mifepristone, a life-saving reproductive health care medication, to some Illinois stores:
“There’s no question about it — A woman should be able to make her own health care decisions without politicians getting in the way. The news that Mifepristone will be provided at select Walgreens across the state is a substantial step for reproductive freedom and proof that here in Illinois, we don’t bow down to anti-choice extremists,” said Olickal. “While the harrowing actions of the Supreme Court affect this fundamental right nationwide, one thing is clear — I pledge to continue working alongside my colleagues to protect critical reproductive healthcare rights.”
