AURORA, Ill. – State Rep. Barbara Hernandez, D-Aurora, will be hosting Fox Valley and Batavia Park Districts at her Monthly ‘First Friday’ event this Friday, March 1, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 1 E. Benton Street, Suite 101 in Aurora.
“Public parks offer so many great opportunities for kids, especially during the spring and summer,” Hernandez said. “Hours spent in parks attending camps, playing sports and taking part in other events are hours that help kids grow up happier and healthier. I’ve invited representatives of the Batavia and Fox Valley Park Districts to cover these opportunities for families who are interested in taking advantage of such a wonderful resource.”
Hernandez is hosting get togethers for her community on the first Friday of every month in an effort to connect people with opportunities in the area. This month’s gathering is focused on taking advantage of spring and summer events at local parks. Food will be provided on a first-come first-serve basis.
