CHICAGO — State Rep. Michael J. Kelly, D-Chicago, is announcing a pair of upcoming events focused on promoting worthy causes. Kelly is accepting donations of pet supplies for the Wright-Way Rescue at his constituent service office, 4200 W. Lawrence Ave. in Chicago, for the remainder of February. In addition, he is inviting residents to attend Citizen CPR Training on Feb. 28 from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Niles Police Department, 7000 W. Touhy Ave. in Niles.
“Helping others in need is the essence of community spirit, and here we have two great opportunities,” Kelly said. “CPR training could enable you to make the difference in a medical emergency, and adoptable pets fill our lives and enrich our families—so helping ensure they have what they need to stay healthy and comfortable until they find forever homes is a wonderful way to put some good into the world.”
CPR Training has limited space, and those interested are encouraged to apply as soon as possible at https://bit.ly/RepKellyCPR, or by contacting Rep. Kelly’s service office at 773-736-0218 or district@repkelly.com.
Pet supplies may be dropped off at Rep. Kelly’s service office for the remainder of February, Mondays thru Thursdays 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and Fridays 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Supplies being sought include new and/or unopened Martindale collars in all sizes, slip leads, glow collars, Kuranda beds, Tide brand detergent with bleach, micro-fleece throws, microfiber towels, wet dog and cat food, rubbing alcohol, Windex glass cleaner, newspaper, paper towels, latex gloves in all sizes, bleach and stuffed dog toys.
