SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Following the Governor’s State of the State & Budget Address on Wednesday, state Rep. Eva-Dina Delgado, D-Chicago, vows to bring comprehensive immigration, transportation and childcare funding to her Northwest Side community:

“Illinois faces serious challenges that threaten our futures, including aging transit and road infrastructure, rising costs for childcare and the needs of historically disadvantaged populations.  We need to address these needs swiftly with long-term solutions, and I plan on doing just that. Everyone in Illinois deserves a fair shot at the American dream, but they can’t seize that opportunity if the bus breaks down, the roads are crumbling, or they can’t make an honest living. I am encouraged that the governor and my colleagues share these concerns, and I am looking forward to the dialogue and budget work ahead.”
