BATAVIA, Ill. – To help local seniors conveniently access driver services, state Rep. Matt Hanson, D-Montgomery, is welcoming the Illinois Secretary of State’s office to the Covenant Living at the Holmstad retirement community in Batavia for a “Mobile Unit” event this upcoming Monday, Feb. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“I’m proud to partner with the Illinois Secretary of State and Covenant Living to bring select driver’s services for residents, saving them a trip this winter,” Hanson said. “It’s important for me to bring resources directly to communities, and this is a great opportunity for residents to take advantage of.”
Services are available only for Covenant Living at the Holmstad residents, and participants must pre-register with Hanson’s office at 630-425-3965. At the event, individuals will be able to purchase vehicle renewal stickers, renew licenses, acquire a state identification card and correct licenses. Not all services will be available, and those who are 75 or older will need to visit a permanent Secretary of State facility to renew a driver’s license.
