CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – State Rep. Carol Ammons, D-Urbana, and the House Ethics & Elections Committee are hosting a hearing on voter access Wednesday, Jan. 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Brookens Administrative Center at 1776 E. Washington St. in Urbana.

“As our nation continues to erode voter protections and people’s power at the ballot box, we have to chart a better path forward for Illinoisans,” Ammons said. “Our Urbana-Champaign community is at the heart of that fight. I’m joining Chairman West, Vice Chairwoman Stuart, Champaign County Clerk Aaron Ammons, the Illinois State Board of Elections and the Illinois Association of County Clerks and Recorders to discuss how Illinois can secure the right to vote for future generations both at home and across the country.”
