Canty Supports Supplementing Illinois’ Power Needs with Small-Scale Nuclear Options

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — State Rep. Mary Beth Canty, D-Arlington Heights, supported a measure to supplement Illinois’ power needs with small-scale nuclear options during the state’s transition to clean energy. The bill was crafted in consultation with environmental groups, which outlined a potential regulatory framework for new nuclear power sources.
