JOLIET, Ill. – State Rep. Larry Walsh Jr., D-Elwood, and other local officials will honor local veterans at Walsh’s annual Veterans Day breakfast, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Stone City VFW, 124 Stone City Drive in Joliet.
“This year is particularly special as we reconvene for the first time since the pandemic,” Walsh said. “It’s deeply rewarding to bring our community together once again, to honor and recognize the bravery and sacrifices of our veterans. I’m thrilled that we have this opportunity to celebrate and show our appreciation for the men and women who have served our country.”
The event is free for all veterans and their families. Walsh will be joined by state Reps. Natalie Manley and Dagmara Avelar, and state Sen. Meg Loughran Cappel.
